Hey everyone.  I apologize for the slowness of content on the site right now.  I'm trying to update the pictures as much as I can.  As a result, I haven't been able to write much or post the latest photos of Ruby.  I hope to be caught up by the end of the year, but I again apologize.

The plans for the business are coming along well.  I'm trying to make our personal site and the church's sites the "flagship" sites.  So, there should be improvements to all of them in the near future.

Things are going pretty well with our family.  Ruby is still growing like crazy.  She can now wave, roll over, shake her head no, etc.  It seems like she adds something new each day.  We have lots of good pictures of her recently that should be posted soon. 

Now that I’m done with my OP, I’m going to concentrate on spiffing up our personal site and the church site. I’m also working on plans to start my own side business, designing websites for local businesses, churches, bands, organizations, etc. in my spare time. I’ll post more details about that soon.

My original proposal went pretty well. On Thursday Dr. Cooks told me and Anthony that these were not “talks” where we controlled what happened. He said it’s rather an “exam” where we get tested, asked questions of, etc. However, mine seemed very much like a talk. The entire process took an hour and 45 minutes, and I probably talked for 95% of that time…not what I expected after what Dr. Cooks said on Thursday. It went pretty well. My ideas were thought out fairly well and there were no glaring problems with my idea. There were a couple of questions that I didn’t know how to answer. One was a simple physical chemistry question that I really should have known (fluorescence time scales), and the other was a very difficult question that I would have never known (about where a term came from in an equation for imaging resolution). All in all, I’m pretty satisfied with it, and I’m glad that it’s over!

My OP is at 2:00 this afternoon. I’m pretty nervous, but I have high hopes that it won’t be completely terrible. I’ll probably post later tonight or this weekend about how it went.
