Happy Labor Day, everyone!
Ruby is visiting her Nana and Poppa this weekend, and Mike and I have been able to spend some time together. Bob and Diana visited yesterday, and we had a good time...lots of laughter and some nice Cold Stone Creamery! Yum! :)
Today, we're just hanging out, watching a movie, and relaxing. Mike is re-building the EFC site on Drupal 6. (Yes, he really is that geeky.) I'm shopping online for Ruby's fall and winter wardrobe.
I officially hate shopping for a child's seasonal wardrobe. This is the first time I've had to do it, and I'm not looking forward to the next few years (until Ruby chooses to do her own shopping.)
I know that Burke needs to stay in the womb a little longer,
but I simply cannot wait to have another one of these:
Ruby's bedding arrived this morning, and I was so excited to see the sets next to each other. I was secretly a little worried that they wouldn't match as well in person as they did on the screen. My worry was in vain!! They match perfectly!! :) And they are even nicer than I had realized. They have nice soft velvety material, as well as the dotted chenille type of material that I was hoping to use. I am just really pleased!! :)
Boy and Girl version of the same bedding? Check!
Alright, seriously...
Some of you don't believe me when I tell you that my mom was super-ultra-extreme-overly-anal protective of me when I was a kid. You really don't believe me.
Well, buckle your seatbelts...
I've got proof.
Hey everyone!
Today marks 11 weeks on bedrest. We had our appointment this morning, and Burke is looking good. :) He's got 20 cm of fluid around him...can you believe that?? I mean, when God decides to do the supernatural, he decides to DO IT! You know what I mean?? Burke is growing and looking good. And, even better news: My bloodpressure is back down around normal!! Praise God! I figured it would be, because my swelling has been much, much better this week.
I've been working on a re-design of the Elston Family Church website. I wanted to make the navigation simpler and make the design more clean looking. I'm pretty happy with it so far, but there are a few remaining tweaks that I would like to make.
I'm sorry, guys. I just can't get enough of this little girl. I promise it's not to bore you all. I just want to try to record as much as I can remember to record, so that, in the future, I can tell Ruby what a joy and blessing she was to us during this time. :)
Today, Ruby wore a shirt that was given to her by her Aunt Megan. Aunt Megan is a Junior at Ball State University, and Ruby loves her an awful lot. Today, she proudly sported some BSU pride (which is only appropriate since all 3 of her aunts are BSU grads/students.)
Hey everyone!
I'm still here. Not much to report. I'll let you know if anything interesting happens today. :) Otherwise, no news is good news, as always!
Today, I watched a movie, and it was really good. Mike even said it was pretty good. (It was definitely on the "chick" side of the spectrum, but hey...what can I say? I'm a chick.) :)
