A couple of you have e-mailed me asking to know more about Zach and Sarah. I'm thrilled to tell you more, but I thought it would be best if you know more about them in their own words! :) Neither one was really all that hip on a full-fledged guest post. So we're going to do a guest-interview, instead! :)
Today, I'm wishing that I was back on bedrest.
Did I really just say that??
:) I don't really mean it. You must know that, before I go any further. For the life of me, I would never want to be put back on bedrest for any reason for any amount of time. The feeling of being trapped is indescribable, and I'm so thankful and grateful that God delivered me from bedrest with my psyche still intact.
However, there were certain parts of bedrest that I wouldn't mind having right this moment.
I generally let Ruby watch a cartoon of some sort while she munches on breakfast in the morning. Since we got rid of cable, she gets her choice of video. For the past four or five mornings, she has consistently asked for, "Ledders, mommy, please. No Doodoobops."
*shock* and *awe*
I finally updated the photos on the site! Whew... Here are some of my favorites:
We had a great time with our Small Group friends during the Superbowl party. The guys were crackin' us up with their Wii Fit Skillz.
This past summer, my mom found a pair of royal blue Crocs with a Colts themed strap. They were far to big for Ruby at the time, but we, of course, held onto them! Now, they fit, and Ruby wore them for the first time last night. I taught her that the shoes were called "Crocs."
Here's video of us playing Wii Fit before our Super Bowl party. Amusing stuff.
As of midnight on Friday, March 6th, 2009, we had 20 contributors on the Chip In. We had 35 comments on the "Let's Make a Deal" post, not including Mike's response comment. That makes a total donation of $275.00. :)
The winning commentor for the $100 gift card was Jonell...a former lab-mate of Mike's. Jonell, I will be e-mailing you the list of available choices for your gift card! Congratulations!
Thank you to everyone who participated!! Keep your eyes open for another challenge...coming soon with another chance to win a gift card for yourself!!
Today, my mom and dad offered to watch the kids for Mike and me. We seized the opportunity and headed out on a date. It was a welcome break, and we chose to have lunch and catch a movie. With its impressive Oscar sweep and the strong recommendation of several friends, Slumdog Millionaire was an easy movie choice.
Ruby and Burke had well visits today at the pediatrician's office. Our appointment was with the new nurse practitioner, Noel. We liked her a lot! :)
You guys know my friend, Amy, who is Alex and Lydia's mommy? Well, she's got some really big news over on her blog...go check it out!
