    Results are in!

and the news is GOOD!  :)  Praise God!

Burke's EKG results came back this morning, and it was perfectly normal.  YAY!  :)

So, it's official, Burke is experiencing breath-holding spells.  He hasn't had any yet today, so I'm HIGHLY encouraged by that!

I honestly don't have much else to say.  I'm just SO thankful to report this!  :)

    Don't Stop

I heard him screaming.  It was truly a tantrum to rival all tantrums.  My first thought was, "Oh my goodness!  Why doesn't his mother spank him??"

    Many! Many!! Many!!! Things :)

First, I wanted to give you an update on Zach and Sarah!  :)  They have submitted nearly all of their official paperwork for the adoption.  It has been sealed by the Secretary of State, and it is on its way to Rwanda!  The kids and I went with them that day.  It was *very* cool to see them so excited!

    Not Alone

Okay, I've started this post at least a half a dozen times, but I don't know how to tell you what I want to tell you without sounding like I'm throwing myself a pity party.  It's just been one of those days.  The ones where I feel like a really bad mom/wife/woman.

I slept in this morning, instead of taking a shower.

I fed my daughter a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast.

I haven't bathed my son in more than 48 hours (which wouldn't be so bad, if he didn't have two layers of sunscreen on his little body.)

    Are you here?

I'm very curious how many of you are here at d6.not2us.net.  I didn't know Mike was going to begin the switch this soon, or else I would have put up a post explaining what was happening.

Anyway, for those of you that are here, will you pray for me?

In 22 days, I will fly out of Indianapolis International Airport and head towards North Carolina.  I will be attending a writer's conference, and I will be meeting with a publisher after the conference.

    A New Addition!

This past weekend, we visited my mom and dad in Terre Haute.  In my haste to get packed and get on the road, I forgot Duckie and Blankie.  (I know!  The Horror!)

Thankfully, at bedtime, Ruby accepted some pretty poor substitutes without much objection.

Still, my mom decided it was a good enough reason to order a back-up Duckie.  Two, infact: one for Nonna's house and one for Gigi's house.

    Update

Hey everyone.  It's been awhile since I've written anything that required "deep" thought here at Not2Us.  I've been really busy with my day job at Griffin Analytical, my web work with Red Leaf Media, and raising my wonderful family over the past few months.

This past week Lindsay and I drove down to Louisville, KY for a few days at the Gurus of Tech conference at Southeast Christian Church.

    Inaugural Post

I'm not even sure if "inaugural" is the right word, but whatever.  You guys don't come here for the literary greatness, that's fo' sho!

    Strength and Endurance

There are men who compete to see which man can pull a jet plane the farthest distance.  That is strength.

There are swimmers who compete to see which swimmer can swim 15 miles the fastest.  It can take anywhere from five to ten hours to complete.  That is endurance.

But there is an athlete who must exhibit more strength and endurance than all others.  She is a mother.

Whether she's completing sets of twenty reps with a seven-pound newborn or lifting a 45 lb. four-year-old onto her lap after his feelings have been hurt, she is strong.

    Videos

Since we have a handheld video camera, we're starting to create lots of videos of our family.  As such, we're adding a video section to our site.  You can find videos as we add them here.  Enjoy!
