Wedding Ring Pic

I took some cool pictures of our shiny new wedding rings during our honeymoon. I posted one of them on a site called stock.xchng for people to use if they wanted. I got an email from a woman asking if she could use it, and I agreed. It’s not much, but here’s the link. It feels cool to have someone appreciate the picture.

Our first married Christmas was really fun. We spent Christmas eve with the Goodwins, then Christmas day with the Burkes. We really enjoyed the time with our family and friends. I also think that everyone loved the gifts that we got them, especially my parents and their new cordless phone ( :

The drive between Indianapolis and Terre Haute was quite interesting since fog was very thick the whole way. My strategy (which worked very well) was to follow the idiots who were driving about 70mph at about 10-15 car lengths back. That way I could see the upcoming turns and know if any accidents, deer, etc. were ahead. It was a stressful drive, but we got there in good time.

It was nice to go to church on Christmas day…It’s not an opportunity that I’ve had often in life. It helped to keep my mind on where it should be, the birth and significance of Jesus of Nazareth.

On another note, my parents got me a book on CSS (cascading style sheets) for Christmas. I’ve been reading it a lot over the last few days. For whatever reason, I’ve become very interested in web design…I can’t wait to work on Elston Height’s website. Hopefully I can develop this knowledge into a tool that I can use to serve God’s kingdom more, as I have with my guitar and music.

That was all a bit random, but I thought an update was long overdue. There’s a New Year’s party and church service at Camp Techumseh this weekend. It should be a blast celebrating our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY on Sunday!

The Burkes got a family picture taken and Kyle challenged us to do our best with photoshop. This is what I came up with in my preliminary work.

Stock.Xchng

I’m always looking for cool pictures and graphics to use in powerpoint backgrounds, fliers, etc. Most sites offer limited pictures or try to make you pay royalties. However, I recently found a great site called stock.xchng.

You have to set up a username and password, but it’s completely free and easy. Users have contributed thousands of high resolution pictures. I’ve already downloaded many of them with hopes of utilizing them as backgrounds during worship services at church. Just thought I’d share ( : I’m sure most of you don’t care, but I figured a few of our readers might appreciate it.
