I have just launched the latest site from my company, Red Leaf Media. It is for Lindsay's father's business, Burke Spring & Alignment, an auto repair shop in Terre Haute, IN and Tilton, IL. I really respect how they operate with Christian values, and I was happy to do the site for them. Check it out!
I've been working on a re-design of the Elston Family Church website. I wanted to make the navigation simpler and make the design more clean looking. I'm pretty happy with it so far, but there are a few remaining tweaks that I would like to make.
I just wanted to let anyone interested know that I have finished another website for my business. It's for a church named First Southern Baptist Church in Terre Haute, IN. This church holds a special place in our lives. First, it was the church that Lindsay grew up in from birth. Her family went through many good and bad times at this church, and it really seems to be on a large upswing as of late. Secondly, it's the church where we were married on January 1st, 2005.
The site is really pretty simple. I wanted to do something realtively inexpensive for their church since we have such a close relationship with them. It's built on Drupal 5 (which this site also runs on) for anyone that's interested (viz. no one). They have a photo gallery, sermon audio, event calendar and private directory, among other things. I hope that they really enjoy it. We should have a training session on how to use the site in the near future, then the work will be truly complete.
This is a big milestone for my company. It is actually the first paid site that I have developed. All of my previous sites have been volunteer work to built up my protfolio and/or help out family and friends. Hopefully I can continue this hobby successfully in the future. There is at least one site in the queue already! I really enjoy developing websites, and getting a little extra cash does not hurt...except the amount of taxes you have to pay on stuff like that is ridiculous!
Thanks for reading another geeky post about websites.
I have officially launched the site of my part-time web development business, Red Leaf Media. I am presently open to developing sites for clients in my spare time. Obviously I can not take a full-time load, since my schooling takes precedence. However, I hope that this will be a method of sustaining Lindsay's ability to stay home for the rest of my graduate school.
I have finally launched a site that I've been working on for awhile:

http://www.thesmalltownheroes.com
The site is for a band called SmallTown Heroes, located here in Lafayette, IN. An old friend of ours (from the BCM days) named Dallas Johnson plays the guitar and mandolin and sings for them. I acutally enjoy their music a lot. You can listen to some tracks on their "listen page". Lindsay and I are going to try to make it to one of their shows in the near future (see their events calendar).
If you know anyone else who needs a well-done, cheap website please direct them to me, and I'll be glad to help.
Hey everyone. I apologize for the slowness of content on the site right now. I'm trying to update the pictures as much as I can. As a result, I haven't been able to write much or post the latest photos of Ruby. I hope to be caught up by the end of the year, but I again apologize.
The plans for the business are coming along well. I'm trying to make our personal site and the church's sites the "flagship" sites. So, there should be improvements to all of them in the near future.
Things are going pretty well with our family. Ruby is still growing like crazy. She can now wave, roll over, shake her head no, etc. It seems like she adds something new each day. We have lots of good pictures of her recently that should be posted soon.

The new Aston Labs site just went live. It of course uses Drupal. I’m really starting to get comfortable with the system, and I’m excited to see what I can do with it in the future. For anyone curious, here’s my personal page.
