We have had quite the week! It started off with my laproscopic cholecysectomy. (I had my gallbladder taken out.) I was really worried about the general anesthesia, and I didn’t even think about recovery. I’m so glad that everyone else was thinking about it for me, because it was tougher than I expected. My mom and dad came up to help with Ruby, and I think she enjoyed every minute! Here she is helping Grandma wake Grandpa up from his nap:
Grandma and Grandpa also bought her a new toy. She loves it quite a bit!
Last night, we went to visit Gigi and Pop in Indianapolis. Unfortunately, there was a wreck on I-65, and it took us a long time to get there. We didn’t get to visit for very long, so we’ll definitely have to go visit again very soon!
Today, we went to a birthday party for a friend from church. After the party, we went shopping for a new computer for me, since I broke my old laptop. We found one!
We came home, got Ruby down for a nap, and Mike started to setup my new computer. The doorbell rang, and I raced upstairs to answer the door, because I didn’t want Ruby to wake up. When I looked outside, this is what I saw:
For those of you who don’t know, that’s our car!
It was a police officer who was ringing the doorbell. She wanted to let me know that someone had hit our car and continued to drive on. They had an eyewitness, and they were in pursuit of the guy. They think he was drunk. She got our information and called a tow truck for us. Thankfully, they caught the guy further down the road, and we’ll be taking care of all the insurance and stuff on Monday.
God was so faithful! We hardly ever use the Cavalier. We were getting ready to sell it to our friend, and it’s really no inconvenience for us regarding our daily schedule. We have an awesome insurance agent, whom we’re sure will guide us through the process of getting compensated for our car. If the other guy’s insurance won’t pay, we’re still okay, because we have full coverage on the Cavalier. We were all safe inside the house and out of harm’s way. Praise God!
Anyway…it has been an eventful week. Ruby and I are fighting a cold, and Mike has started writing his OP. It is going to be a stressful time for him for the next few weeks, so please keep him in your prayers!
We love you all! Here are a few pics to keep you smiling this week:
