Here's a Ruby Funny to start your day off the right way:
I'm calling carpet and painting services this morning to get some quotes on some work we'd like to have done on the house. Ruby is being surprisingly cooperative, despite her rough night of sleep. Just now, after I was finished talking with a contractor, I noticed that Ruby had gotten ahold of the wipes. She was saying something, waving her hand in front of her face, and it sounded like more than blabber, so I listened closely. This is what I heard:
"Ooo! Keenkee, ooobeee, keenkeeeee. Ooo! Keenkee, keenkee. Oooo, ooobeee, keenkeeee!"
Let me translate for you:
"Whew! Stinky, Ruby, stinky! Whew! Stinky, stinky. Whew, Ruby, stinky!"
LOL!! :) She had a dirty nappy this morning, and it was fairly rank. I'm pretty sure Mike and I said, "Whew! Stinky!" at least a dozen times. Not to mention, she hears it regularly throughout the week. So, she decided to mimic our behavior about an hour after she had observed it. I was cracking up...especially since she was waving her hand in front of her face. :)
Oh, and can I please count "More, please" as her first two-word phrase, even though one word is spoken and one word is signed? It's so much more pleasing than "Stinky Ruby". Please?

Stinky Ruby!
I love it! Why is it that they choose to repeat phrases like that? I hope little Ruby is feeling better.
She's a comedian!
That is VERY cute and funny. Yes, you can count "more please" as her first phrase (even if it is combo verbal/sign) :-) Although I think Stinky Ruby is perfectly fine and memorable for her first 2-word phrase!
First Words
Oh how I wish stinky was a choice as first words.....
Colin spent several days with Grandma around the time he was getting ready to talk and his first words after dada of course were "Oh s_it"...Yep Grandma's favorite phrase of frustration. I was appalled. Any way they grow and if that's the worst you ever hear you are blessed....
You look really good in your pics, don't worry I seemed to show way faster with my second also, just enjoy this time it passes so quickly. (UTI'S and morning sickness aside).
Lets get together soon, a day at the park or just for a walk out of the house.
Love ya Lots
Rita
