What fun!!

Unfortunately, this will be a pictureless post about our wonderful and awesome day at Tropicanoe Cove. I didn't want to take our big Canon camera, because it is too expensive to leave unattended at any point. And...since I don't have a small point-and-shoot, I was praying that one of the other mommies would have a P&S with them. Renay was a prepared mommy, and she brought her camera! Unfortunately, the camera didn't have it's memory card, so it was no use to us. Grrr...

Anyway, pictures or no pictures, it was great! It actually ended up being more than Renay and me. When Ruby and I got to the Cove, an adorably cute little boy ran up to us and said, "Hey! I didn't know you were going to be here!" It was the adorable Mr. Peyton!! He and his Memaw were having a great time playing in the water. Ruby was anxious to join him, and she went right on into the water.

Just a few minutes later, Renay showed up with TJ, his friend Chase, Jake, and Owen. They all got lathered up in Waterbabies 50 SPF and headed for the water. Jake was soaking wet within seconds...literally! :) Not long after that, April, Mason, Isaac, and Weston sat down behind us! Renay had invited them along, and I'm so glad they came. :) All of the boys are so great, and they make me very curious whether this little one in my tummy is a girl or boy.

Much later in the afternoon, after lunch, Kirsten arrived with Brittany and Parker in tow. It was so odd to see Ruby and Parker walking around in their bathing suits. They certainly looked like little girls instead of babies.

Ruby really seemed to enjoy herself, and I'm sure this won't be our last visit to the Cove...not by a long shot. I have quite a sunburn to show for it, too. :)

Apparently, the water and sun tired my little girl out! We walked out to the van, and I put her in her carseat. I loaded the stroller in the back and walked around to the driver's seat. I got in and looked back in the rearview mirror to check on her...

She was already asleep. I kid you not. Within 60 seconds, she had fallen asleep. LOL! She even let me get her out of her carseat, carry her in to her bed, and lay her down without waking up. Two hours later, she's still sleeping soundly. :)

And finally, here are my three most thought-altering observations of the day:

1. Men should never, ever wear Speedos...never, ever.

2. If you choose to wear a "bathing suit" which is actually just a tiny piece of cloth held onto your body with three pieces of string and that tiny piece of cloth doesn't cover 1/2 of your butt cheeks, much less all of your butt crack...WHAT is the point of wearing a bathing suit at all??? And, honestly, I'm a little frustrated that there isn't a "dress code" at the Cove. There are young boys and young men all over that place. We, as a society, should be protecting their minds and their purity. Ugh...

3. Ruby really has no fear, and it fills me with fear. She will walk anywhere with anyone. She doesn't care if I'm near at all. She walked all over that place. She literally walked up to the scariest, creepiest looking man AT the park and stood right in front of him...just stood there. It was like she was saying, "Here I am! Take me! Just make sure you do it while Mommy isn't looking, so she can't chase us."

For April:

I promise I'm not practicing to become a Playboy Bunny or anything.  I just wanted to show you that your spray at least worked a little bit.  You can see exactly where my first application of sunscreen ended and the second application began.  : (  Oh well, it doesn't hurt that bad, amazingly.  I think I seared the nerve endings.  (I hope my mom doesn't see this.  She'll kill me.)
