I Need an Intervention...Two, Actually

lindsay's picture

I have two obsessions for which I need to be helped.

All of you know that I have a little problem with McD's Sweet Tea.  This is what my side table looks like right at this moment:

Yes, those are four large McD's cups you see.  Want to know the worst part?  Those are only the cups since Monday, and I've thrown three away.  Embarassed

That's my old obsession.  My new obsession is cleaning my sink with bleach...lost of bleach and lots of scrubbing.  I think my new obsession might actually be a little bit dangerous.  I'm not sure that pregnant women are supposed to use bleach or breathe it so strongly.  I'll google that right after I press Submit.  The more disturbing part; however, is that I get the urge to clean my sink with bleach, and I forget it's destructive qualities.  I only have (had) six summer maternity shirts.  After tonight's cleaning frenzy, I am down to five:

Please help me.  Please.  (After you've had a laugh at my expense.)

Tea and Bleach

Oh, this is too funny! I can just see you scrubbing
with that bleach and oops.. a little ruins your shirt!
I hate when that happens!
Wish I could help with your sweet tea addiction...but
the sad news is that I too love that tea! I haven't
had it for a while due to WW and I'd rather eat
my points. Have a super night my dear prego friend!
love ya,
kara

Me too!

I'm afraid that I may need some help with the McDonalds Sweet Tea addiction as well! :) I'm with ya on the bleach though. I don't think its a good idea for a pregnant woman to be using much bleach. I'm sure a little doesn't hurt though. I'd be interested in knowing what you find out. I am so sorry about the shirt. :(

about the shirt. It looked really cute on you, too. Bummer. All of those cups are hilarious. Is that what we're going to be spending most of our time on when cleaning out your house...pitching McD's cups??? :-) I LOVE their Sweet Tea (and McAlister's), love it. I have not had since poorly doing WW either, but I SO want one right now, it's not even funny.

BTW, you are a blogging fool lately. I can't get over how many posts you've had lately! You have so much material in your life to blog about...I mean it...don't take that the wrong way, hahahaha.

Seriously, I may have to go out and get a sweet tea now, I'm not kidding. And I'm not even pregnant.

Miss please put down the tea

Miss please put down the tea and bleach and wlak away!!!! Just kidding, though be careful about the bleach and being prego. I too love the sweet tea.

Who am I ?

It's OK I didn't forget my name. It was just a short term memory loss, it's all back now. (Prior comment was from me)

=)

You make me smile! I love reading your daily thoughts. =) I am so excited to see you and little Ruby on Saturday! I screamed when Marc told me you were coming. I think the neighbors thought Marc was hurting me. =) See you soon!

Well, if you insist I don't

Well, if you insist I don't mind giggling a little. And no I guess I didn't call you more because I thought you were already busy it being a Thursday afternoon. I guess I don't know your schedule, but I try not to butt in when I think people are busy. I'm lame like that. Hmm.. bleach :]

I am afraid I need the same intervention! There is rarely a time that there is not at least one McD's sweet tea cup in my car. It is so addicting!!!
Sorry to hear about the bleach incident.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs ~~ A

Mine are Diet Coke, though, which I believe is worse than tea. So, it could be worse! Oh...and I have a few maternity summer shirts. They are all bright, bright colors. Are you a bright color person? Like hot pink and bright blue? If so, I'll pass them along. I wore them throughout the summer after delivery. :) Just no cleaning out the sink with bleach in them. Haha. Just kidding. :) Thanks again for your email. Oh, and could we please have a playday soon? Today, I drove by a daycare where the kids (BearHug and Ruby's age) were painting in just their diapers. I thought it looked so enriching, and I felt guilty. BearHug needs more people in his life. Darn hermit-like tendencies I have!

Wow! 9 Comments!

Perhaps I should display my weaknesses for the world to see more often!  LOL!  I love you all greatly!

I can't wait to see you all this weekened, either while I'm helping you move or at church!  Kisses and hugs all around!

Bleach

Away with the treacherous bleach - I would suggest some of the many available recipes for homemade (and safe, and "green") cleaning products: http://www.momsorganichouse.com/all-natural-disinfectant-kills-germs-not...

And after cleaning with those, you can take Ruby outside to hug a tree, and think fondly of your hippie friend Bethany :-)
