not to us

I've got sick kids today.  It's nothing too bad, they've just got a cold of some sort.  Because of their preemie-status and their lung history, colds always go straight to their lungs, and you can hear all the junk rumbling around in their chest.  We've already completed four breathing treatments today, which is quite fun between the squirmy, screamy baby and the kicking, crying toddler.  Still...it's better than a hospital visit...so I will prevail!  :)

In related news, I think the Little Man might be teething.  I don't really see any teeth yet, but he's drooling (a lot) and his sleep is interupted (a lot) and he's cranky (a lot).  I'm hoping it's a quick phase, because...well, Momma's TIRED.  Or as Ruby would say, "tidered".  I even tried to go to bed at 8:00 last night.  No kidding.  It didn't work, what with all the fussing and whining from the boy and the girl, but it was certainly a valiant effort.  (Seriously, I was in bed with the lights off.)

On a lighter note:

My house is in order...or kind of close to in order...or at least as in order as it can be, considering the fact that four people are living in a 580 sq. ft. house with a 400 sq. ft. unfinished basement.  :)  I'm on top of the laundry, on top of the dishes, and I've got a plan for supper!  :)  I feel like I'm on top of the world.

It's absolutely gorgeous outside today.  When Ruby wakes up from her nap, I'm going to bundle the kids up and go on a walk.  I cannot wait.  My plan is to walk around the neighborhoods behind our house and see if there's anything for sale behind us.  :)  I'm also planning to stop by my dream house that's across the street and ask them if they're planning to move anytime soon.  (No, I'm totally not joking.)

(P.S.  Did anyone read this before I corrected my spelling mistake?  I wanted to set the record straight that I know that "phase" is spelled p-h-a-s-e and not f-a-z-e.  Does that show you how sleep deprived I am?)  :) :) :)
