Hey everyone!
The kids and I are in Terre Haute for a quick visit with my parents. They were missing Roo, and I needed a break to re-charge. My very messy house is waiting for me when I get home, but that's okay. It was nice to have a couple of days "off."
There's not a whole lot going on in our lives right now, and I am *thankful* for that! :) We welcome normalcy around here. Burke has started to smile a TON and coo a bit. We are loving it!
Tomorrow, Ruby will turn TWO! I cannot believe it's been an entire two years since the day she was born.
Two years ago today, we were all gathered in my hospital room, eating Chinese food. "We" being Mike, Nana, Poppa, Gigi, Pop, Kyky, Kim, and me. I was rather down in spirits. I had been in the hospital for two weeks, and we were looking at another possible four to six weeks. I thought two weeks of bedrest was torture. *snort*
Two short hours later, my back was killing me. I told my nurse that I thought I was having contractions, but she didn't think it was anything to be worried about. Within an hour, my amniotic sac had completely broken, and I had soaked my bed and the floor. We were in for twenty hours of fun, pain, and work. But it was completely worth it. :) More about that tomorrow.
Tonight, I was wondering if you could pray for my friend, Beth. She lost her twins at 19 weeks of pregnancy last year around this time. Yesterday, when she should have been 9 weeks pregnant, she found out that there was no longer a heartbeat for the baby. I know she is hurting, and my heart hurts for her. Please pray that God will comfort her and her family and that He will guide them from this point forward.
