What a Guy! :)

I just wanted to say what a great job Mike did this weekend!  I know a lot of people think it's silly to make a big deal out of Valentine's Day, and the truth is that we normally don't.  Aside from our first V-Day, the biggest Valentine's gift I've ever gotten was two roses.  Mike told me, long ago, that romance was not a strong suit for him.  I'm honestly okay with that.  This year, however, I was really wishing for some time alone with him.

He really pulled through!  He arragned for Uncle Zach and Aunt Sarah to watch the kids (OVERNIGHT!) last night, while we went on a Daddy and Mommy only date.  We got to walk around the mall, without fearing a tantrum.  We got to eat dinner at Texas Roadhouse (with peanuts!), without trying to entertain a toddler.  Plus, we stayed in a hotel, got to swim, and got to sleep soundly without waking up to feed a hungry baby.  It was marvelous.  The bed was SO incredibly comfy.  I'm half-tempted to go back and ask them what kind of mattress it was.  I got to take a bath.  We had some peanut treats.  It was just great.

Interestingly, we used a bit of our time to shop for the kids.  :)  I still had my gift card for Gymboree, and the kids are getting their pictures taken soon.  I wanted to find something cute for them to get a picture together in.  I found matching onesies that say "I Love Mommy" and "I Love Daddy".  Burke will wear the Mommy onesie with a dark blue longsleeve T underneath.  Ruby will wear the Daddy onesie with a red T underneath.  I can't wait to see how it turns out.  :)

Anyway, I just had to give him some public credit for taking me out last night.  He did a great job, and I really enjoyed myself!

It's also my brother's birthday today!  He's pretty amazing, too!  I love him so much, and we're going to the Jason Mraz concert tomorrow for his b-day.  Can't. Wait.  :)

Make sure you stop by tomorrow!  I've got something really cool to announce, and I've got an opportunity for you to be involved, too!
