Something Wonderful

For the past three or four days, Burke has randomly been putting himself to sleep.  I didn't want to get too excited, because even though he's technically 15 weeks old, he's really only 7 weeks old.  It could be a coincidence.  So I kept bribing people (with my big sad tired eyes) to take care of Burke for a couple of hours at a time this weekend while I caught some extra shut-eye.

Then, on top of the putting himself to sleep deal, we experienced something undeniable:

On Saturday night, Burke went to sleep at 8:00 p.m.  He didn't wake up to eat until 2:45 a.m.  Laughing

Then, last night (on Sunday night), Burke went to sleep at 10:00 p.m.  He didn't wake up to eat until 4:10 a.m.  Laughing

I am excited about these developments.  We may be getting close to a sleep regimen!  That would be so wonderful.  I'm going to keep encouraging his sleeping efforts as much as I can.

And in addition to the great sleeping?  He's smiling more!  I've been saying, "He just doesn't smile as much as Ruby."  But I forgot to take into account the fact that he's just now 7 weeks old, developmentally.  But this weekend?  That boy has been smiling like it's his job!  :)  He's even been flirting with his Nana and Aunt Sarah.

Anyway, he just woke up, so I'm gonna go grab him, but I just wanted to say that a sleeping, smiling baby?  Well, that's Something Wonderful.  :)
