You guys should see my house. Seriously, if there was ever a time when I was going to invite every single one of you over to my house (even Darla!), I would invite you first thing tomorrow morning. I would wake up early, shower and do my hair, put on matching clothes (no yoga pants!), PLUS I would get the kids up, bathe them, and dress them in their cutest spring outfits. (I would even put pig tails WITH BOWS in Roo's hair!) I would cook a breakfast casserole, and I would squeeze fresh orange juice.
And do you know why I would go to all that trouble to invite you over to my house tomorrow morning? Because then my life would look perfect. My house is totally clean, all the dishes are clean (and put away), all the laundry is clean (and folded and put away). All the junk is piled up in my garage, waiting to be sold for a dollar. And I feel like a million bucks.
So, tomorrow morning, the kids and I are going to get up and get dressed and live in a little dream world for a couple of hours. :)
Of course, my life isn't perfect. Although I accomplished every task on my list today, there are still many tasks left on the list for the next couple of weeks. For now, however, I'm rejoicing in my completed short list. :) It feels so good to know that today was a productive day. I even had a friend who called to make sure I wasn't avoiding her since I didn't answer her phone calls or e-mails. It was simply that I was getting things done, instead of playing on the computer. (And it felt good.)
I'll be straight with you. This only happens about three times a year, so when it does happen, I get really excited. I always have grand dreams of staying on top of everything once I get caught up. It usually doesn't work, but that won't stop me from giving it a good shot again this time. :)
You know what else I'm excited about? I'm back home for good, and it's time to get back on the Loser Bandwagon. I haven't been concentrating on my weight/health habits over the past month, so I'm a little afraid to step on the scale tomorrow morning, but I know it's what I need to do. I'll be weighing in first thing tomorrow morning and planning my family's meals for the next week. If you wanna weighin with me, I'll send you the meal plans. No deadlines, I'll just send out the meal plans as people weigh in over on the Loser Blog. I'm excited to get back on it, and I'm hoping I don't have to do it alone.
