Christmas and New Year
Our first married Christmas was really fun. We spent Christmas eve with the Goodwins then Christmas day with the Burkes. The fellowship with our family and friends was very nice. I also think that everyone loved the gifts that we got them, especially my parents and their new cordless phone ( :
The drive between Indianapolis and Terre Haute was quite interesting since fog was very thick the whole way. My strategy (which worked very well) was to follow the idiots who were driving about 70mph at about 10-15 car lengths back. That way I could see the upcoming turns and know if any accidents, deer, etc. were ahead. It was a stressful drive, but we got there in good time.
It was nice to go to church on Christmas day…It’s not an opportunity that I’ve had often in life. It helped to keep my mind on where it should be, the birth and significance of Jesus of Nazareth.
On another note, my parents got me a book on CSS (cascading style sheets) for Christmas. I’ve been reading it a lot over the last few days. For whatever reason, I’ve become very interested in web design…I can’t wait to work on Elston Height’s website. Hopefully I can develop this knowledge into a tool that I can use to serve God’s kingdom more, as I have with my guitar and music.
That was all a bit random, but I thought an update was long overdue. There’s a New Year’s party and church service at Camp Techumseh this weekend. It should be a blast celebrating our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY on Sunday! Later.
