job decision
Boy oh boy...these last few days have been a doozy. Last Friday, Promethius Consulting in Indianapolis offered me a job as a Drupal web developer/designer. I was very excited about working for them, because I truly love web work. I feel as though God has given me a passion for web development that greatly exceeds my passion for chemistry.
Griffin Interview
Today I interviewed with Griffin Analytical. It was from 8:45am to 2:00pm. I met with lots of different people, including the CEO, scientists, engineers, HR, etc. Overall, I thought that it went very well. Having never been to their campus, I was pretty impressed with their setup. It definitely has less of a small startup company feel than Prosolia. In fact, they have something like 45 employees.
Job Update
I thought that I would give everyone an update on my school/job situation. As far as school goes, I have finished writing my Masters thesis. The text is 32 pages double-spaced, which I think is about right (no official requirements). There are also 42 figues to go along with the text. I've sent a copy of the thesis to Dr. Cooks and a few lab members to see what they think. Dr. Cooks should let me know if it's acceptable within the next few weeks. Then we can schedule a "defense" time where I will present my work to my committee.
