Losers - Golden Mushroom Pork Chops

  • 1 lb. boneless pork chops
  • salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • .5 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small can fat-free cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. white wine

Season the chops with salt, pepper, and garlic salt on each side.  Brown in a hot skillet.  Take the chops out of the skillet and set aside.

Add the onions, mushrooms, and wine, then saute.

When onions are golden and soft, add the condensed soup and mix.  Place the chops in the mixture and smoother them down into the onions and mushrooms.

Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low.  Simmer chops for 20 to 30 minutes, or until they are cooked thoroughly.

This recipe makes four servings.  Each serving is roughly 300 calories.

These chops were EXCELLENT served on top of wild long grain rice.  Yum!
